Indiana is on the Rise!!

As a state, we just got some great news! We are hosting the 2012 Super Bowl. Wow what a catch for the city of Indianapolis. Not only because of the possibility to have our home team compete in this Super Bowl with arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the game, but the millions of dollars that will be brought into our local community. We are definitely stoked about the possibilities. However, this blog is to tell of yet another area in which we have been chosen with great distinction. This has to do with pork barrel spending. Currently our state is the 7Th fastest growing state when considering needless and wasteful spending of the American taxpayers hard earned money. Throwing caution to the wind, our congressmen continue to steal millions of Federal tax money to provide for their lobbyist friends and former congressmen and women who now work in Washington as lobbyist. Since the year of 2006, Indiana has went from 49Th in ranking of this heartless type of spending to 38Th in 2008. At that current rate, in a short 8 years we Will surpass Alaska in the dubious distinction of being the number 1 offender of the American citizen. Isn't that something to be proud of!?! This is not a partisan issue. Donkeys and Elephants alike are very busy trying to line their re-election accounts with dirty money form special interest and big business. This type of spending must come to an end. But you talk about an uphill battle. We have never seen the like. Can you imagine trying to get congress to stop spending money? You would have a better chance of Osama Bin Laden coming to a 4Th of July parade to show his patriotism to the American flag. The battle is a battle worth fighting for, but it will be another Waterloo since there are actually more registered lobbyist in Washington than congressional staff. Sending an unbiased tax spending congress member to Washington is like sending a drug addict to harvest week in Colombia. Is there an end in sight? Yes, I think there is. It is called term limits. If they could only stay for a couple terms, they wouldn't have time to make so many friends from the dark side! Washington is a sick and perverse high rollers club, not a group of people looking out for their constituents.
